ROSWELL FINE ARTS ALLIANCE (RFAA) ALLIANCE ART SHOWS

GENESIS

Each year the Alliance sponsors “Genesis”,  a juried art competition for members.  Held in late Fall, this show is juried and judged by one or more experts and money prizes are awarded for Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes.  A number of ribbon prizes are awarded to Honorary Mention winners.

ANNUAL MEMBERS’ SHOW AND SALE

At least once each year a non-juried show is held for all members of RFAA.  This exhibit gives our emerging artists experience in showing their work to the public.

HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION

For many years, the RFAA has joined the Roswell Visual Arts Center in sponsoring an exhibition and competition for North Fulton County High School students.  Coordinated through the art departments of the various schools, this show allows students selected by their teachers to enter an area-wide event.  Prizes are awarded to winners, with money scholarships as prizes for Best of Show and First Place.  The prize money is designated for continuing art education for the winner. Students show their best drawings, sculpture and paintings in this exciting collection of creativity.

WORKSHOPS

In 2009 The RFAA named former art teacher and artist, Nancy Fairchild, to head up a new endeavor to broaden members’ artistic opportunities and encourage the overall level of professionalism of our shows.  Ms. Fairchild will search out and organize workshops to accomplish these goals.

SOCIALS

RFAA sponsors several social events throughout the year including a spring luncheon and a holiday party or luncheon in December.
